This is an animal/human thing, is all I can call it. She's a forest guardian, and if my studies are correct the symbol to her left is, I think, Japanese for Guardian. I just hope it is. I started with a sketch, then I used a multitude of inked pen sizes. Then I used pencil and shading tools to give her some depth. She took me about 2 1/2 hours total.
